iPhone 15 latest update

 A new report is out revealing that Apple may kill support for older devices as iPhone 6, iPhone 6S Plus and 2016 iPhone SE for iOS 15. Previously it was touted that iOS 15 will support devices upto 6th generation. iOS 15 beta update is getting ready. The current reports suggest Apple is planning to abandon iOS 15 support for the first generation iPhone SE, iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.

All the three devices received iOS 14 update. The next iOS 15 release date will be announced in 2021, excepted by Q2.

Most of the iPhone models have the iOS 14 update. The next generation iOS 15 system will be released before the launch iPhone 13 series. Older phones as iPhone 5s iPhone 6 may not also get the latest iOS 15 update.

iOS 15 Release Date, iOS 15 Beta Features: Expected Changes

iOS 15 release date is expected around mid-year for the beta version. The Cupertino based company generally announces the new version of iOS at WWDC June. iOS 15 release will also include updated versions of macOS, tvOS, watchOS, and iPadOS at the same event.

The 2021 WWDC will be where the upcoming iOS will be announced, and the final iOS 15 release dates will be confirmed.

After being announced, iOS 15 beta will go through a series of testings and changes. Final iOS 15 for public will be rolled out a few weeks after WWDC 2021. So, expect a iOS 15 release date timeline between July and August 2021 after the iOS 15 beta is released in June 2021.

Final iOS 15 release dates will be confirmed once the beta testing is done.

Coming to expected iOS 15 features, we may see some interesting additions with iOS 15 in 2021.

The iOS 15 concepts released on the internet leaked out a few changes. The upcoming iOS is said to come with:

  • Always-on display
  • Split View support
  • Face ID app locking functionality
  • Lock screen widgets
  • New keyboard with Memoji and Animoji bars
  • Separation of native apps from the OS
  • Screen sharing with FaceTime
