OnePlus is tipped to be working on another Nord-like affordable flagship in 2021, rumoured to be called the OnePlus 9 Lite. The upcoming OnePlus phone has already been spotted on a number occasions in the last few weeks. The latest leak reveals some key specs including the price and launch date.

OnePlus 9 Lite Specs, First Snapdragon 870 Phone

OnePlus 9 Lite will be a toned-down version of the top models of the series pitted against the likes of Galaxy S20 FE, Mi 10T and Pixel 4a. OnePlus is said to be coming with a ‘Lite’ version finally, to be called OnePlus 9 Lite. OnePlus 9 series launch may by March. As per Android Central, the OnePlus 9 Lite launch will happen alongside OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro.

The company recently forayed into the mid-range category with OnePlus Nord. OnePlus 9 Lite will reportedly arm Snapdragon 870, the newly announced Qualcomm SoC, a lite version of the flagship Snapdragon 888.

The tipster claimed OnePlus 9 Lite India availability will soon be confirmed, and it will come in two models: LE2100 and LE2101.

Coming to leaked OnePlus 9 Lite specs, reports say it will pack in Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 with a 90Hz / 120Hz AMOLED panel and also 65W fast charging.

Further, the OnePlus device may have the sMe camera optics as OnePlus 8T. The 8T has a four camera system at the back donning a primary 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor with an aperture of F/1.7 with support for both OIS and EIS.

The main 48MP sensor pairs with an ultra-wide-angle lens offering 123-degree field of view. OnePlus 8T has two more lenses: 5-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel monochrome lens. The device will probably have a 4,500mAh (around) battery to back the whole system with support for 65W Dash fast charging technology much like 8T.

OnePlus 9 Lite price is said to stay around the Rs 35,000 to Rs 40,000 bracket in India or maybe lower. OnePlus 9 Lite will be available exclusively via Amazon and OnePlus India online store.

The leaked report claimed OnePlus 9 Lite price in India will stay around Rs 43,800, which probably will be the global price.

OnePlus is expected to position OnePlus 9 Lite in the same price bracket as Galaxy S20 FE, Mi 10T and Pixel 4a in India. The device will be priced higher than the current OnePlus Nord in India, which starts at Rs 24,999 and goes way up to Rs 29,999 for the top model.
